Dine with Australia's favourite chefs at Noosa Food & Wine 2017

Noosa serves up wonderful food and wine all year round and we’re adding some of Australia’s best chefs and wine makers to the mix for the Noosa Food and Wine Festival from 18-21 May 2017.

The sea, river and green countryside that surround Noosa provide beautiful, fresh produce and plenty of gorgeous settings for our restaurants, cafes and bars, where you'll be able to take a seat and join wonderful chefs including Ben O’Donoghue, Adriano Zumbo and Massimo Mele from some of Australia's favourite restaurants for exclusive lunches and dinners.


A Seafaring Adventure
at Locale Noosa in Hastings Street (pictured above) will be a bountiful seafood feast served fresh from local waters as chefs Ben Williamson from Gerard’s Bistro in Brisbane and Paul West from the River Cottage Australia on the South Coast of New South Wales join Sydney-based seafood guru John Susman, some of Australia’s best fishermen and chef Andy Davies from Locale Noosa for a night of heavenly seafood, matched wines and salty tales. We love our fresh seafood in Noosa and the Queensland Seafood Experience at View Restaurant at Peppers Noosa Resort & Villas will be a unique showcase of the flavours of Queensland. The dinner will be created by Brisbane chefs Ben O’Donoghue (Billykart) and Jake Nicholson (Blackbird Bar & Grill), 2016 MasterChef winner Elena Duggan and View’s Andy Wilcox – with gorgeous views over Laguna Bay. Noosa Boathouse, right on the Noosa River, welcomes Adriano Zumbo (pictured right) for an afternoon that will transform your taste buds and imagination with his magical creations, Sunday 21 May, 2.30pm, $195, book  online.

And if you like beef with your reef, join chefs Nick Holloway (Nu Nu, Palm Cove) and Sunny Gilbert (Austin's, Mount Erica Hotel, Melbourne) as they team up with chef Shane Bailey at the Noosa Boathouse for the ultimate three-course Beef and Reef lunch with matching Dal Zotto wines. Watch the sun go down over Noosa's beautiful waters at Icebergs on the River - Bondi Comes to Noosa at Rickys River Bar & Restaurant (main picture) with chef Monty Koludrovic from Bondi Icebergs Dining Room and Bar. It'll be a night of chilled tunes and fresh seafood with a four-course menu and matching wines, on the Noosa Riverfront. Sunday 21 May, 6pm, $195, book online.

Savour a special dinner with indigenous ingredients, created by Clayton Donovan from TV's Wild Kitchen as he joins the team at Rock Salt, Noosa Heads in An Indigenous Kitchen. It will be an evening of  wonderful Australian native flavours, matched with a range of wines. Saturday 20 May, 6pm, $165, book online.

Sirocco Noosa (pictured below), overlooking the Noosa River on Gympie Tce, Noosaville welcomes Travis McAuley from Hellenic Republic for Flights and Flavours as he joins Sirocco's executive chef Brad Webb with local  produce matched with Australian wines. Friday 19 May, 6pm, $145, book online.

It's all sparkles as Sirocco Noosa also hosts a decadent Sparkling Seafood Lunch with Amadio Sparkling Wines while you watch the Noosa River sparkle in front of you! Saturday 20 May, noon, $120, book online and Sunday 21 May, noon, $120, book online.


Pitchfork Restaurant
in Peregian Beach hosts Michael Rantissi from Kepos Street Kitchen in Sydney for A Middle Eastern Feast, showcasing dishes from his cookbook, Falafal for Breakfast. Kim Chalmers from Chalmers Wine in Victoria will serve their spectacular wines. Sunday 21 May, noon, $135, book online.

For amazing Italian tastes, Locale Noosa also hosts Food from our Home, C’è piú gusto ad essere terroni, a Southern Italian three-course lunch, created by Rio Capurso, Andy Davies, Nino Zoccali and Massimo Mele, with mozzarella making by Giorgio Linguanti and matching wines by Pizzini Wines. With gorgeous views from Noosa's beachfront over Laguna Bay and the Noosa National Park headland, Sails Restaurant Noosa (pictured above) hosts The Royal Mail Sets Sail as Robin Wickens from the historic Royal Mail  Hotel in Dunkeld, Victoria joins chef Paul Leete to create a lunch with matching wines. There are delicious Asian tastes at Embassy XO, Sunshine Beach for the Embassy Asian Banquet, six courses from Tony Twitchet (Taxi Kitchen, Melbourne) with a modern twist on Asian food, served  banquet-style and matched with wines from Shaw + Smith. Friday, 19 May, 6.30pm, $180, book online.

If you think Oysters + Sparkling make a perfect combination head to Café Le Monde in Hastings Street as Shane Buckley from the award-winning Wapengo Rocks Wild Organic Oysters and Gourmet Traveller's Young Wine Maker of the Year 2008 Helen McCarthy, from the award-winning Mountadam vineyards shuck, pour and curate an evening of world-class oysters and sparkling wine. Pork stars, wine and Noosa River views sound like a perfect lunch and Noosa Waterfront Restaurant on Gympie Tce (pictured below) brings them all together for the All Stars Lunch, presented by Australian Pork. The line-up of chefs working on this four-course event with matching wines features Spencer Patrick (Harrison's Port Douglas), Paul Cooper (Bishop Sessa in Sydney), Kah-Wai Lo (Matteo's in Melbourne) and Andrea  Ravezzani, hosted by Mitch Edwards. Noosa Waterfront Restaurant
also has Dinner on the Waterfront with Tony Percuoco (Tartufo in Brisbane), Luca Ciano and Ray Capaldi who join Andrea Ravezzani to create an Italian five-course dinner with matching wines. Saturday 20 May, 6pm, $160, book online.

Things will be heating up at Wood Fire Grill, Noosa Heads for Smoke & Fire with Duncan Welgemoed from Adelaide’s Africola who will create a fiery shared table experience. Saturday 20 May, noon, $110, book online.

One of Noosa’s newest restaurants, Padstows in Noosa Junction hosts a three-course dinner matched with wines on Saturday 20 May, 7pm, $95, book online.

Take a Subcontinental Voyage with Adam D’Sylva (Tonka & Coda in Melbourne) and Peter Kuruvita (pictured right) at his Noosa Beach House, Hastings Street, combining the flavours and spices of Adam’s Indian heritage and Peter’s upbringing in his grandmother's kitchen in Sri Lanka.
