Paddle in Pink is a fun paddling event on water, around Noosa Sound to raise awareness of breast cancer and raise funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Entry is available to individuals and teams.

Create a sea of pink on Noosa's waterways with paddle craft including stand-up paddle boards, kayaks, canoes, outriggers or any craft that is manually paddled or rowed.

This event is not a race, but it will be fun for all the family and friends with great prizes for those best dressed in pink. Groups are divided into categories and local celebrities will participate and encourage all participants.

If you don’t have a craft, book your kayak or SUP from Boardwalk Boat Hire (ph 5455 3755) who along with BiC SUP are hiring at a special rate for the event – 100% of this hire fee is also donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Noosa Heads Lions Club will be on hand to cook up breakfast delights, and coffee cart coffee will be available.

Major prizes include a stand-up paddle board package from BiC SUP.

There will also be an aerial flypast from the Ultimate Thrill Ride in their Extra 300 Red Bull type aircraft (weather permitting).

100% of all funds raised will be donated to National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Lachlan Stevens from Boardwalk Boat Hire (located Riverside Jetty of the Sofitel Noosa Pacific Resort) is the event organiser. Boardwalk Boat Hire currently provides complimentary therapeutic recreation in the form of kayak and SUP paddling for breast cancer patients/survivors on Wednesdays at 7.30am (excepting school holidays).

Participants are to complete more than one lap of Noosa Sound, starting from Noosa Woods (on the Noosa River approximately level with Ravenwood Park, Noosa Parade), clockwise past Lions Park and around Noosa Sound, finishing at Lions Park, on a water craft which can be paddled or rowed such as a stand up paddle board, kayak, canoe, surf ski, outrigger, boat, or, similar. Pink attire is optional however prizes may only be awarded to those in pink. Local identities will be present on the water to judge the prizes and encourage all participants.
